About me


I am a PhD student at the University of Oregon, dedicated to understanding how mountain building, river systems, and marine environments responded to a major phase of tectonic transformation that reshaped the western margin of North America during the early Eocene.
My research is part of the ESCAPE Project (Eocene Siletzia Collision and Paleoriver Evolution), a collaborative effort to understand how the accretion of the oceanic Siletzia terrane modified the continental margin and reorganized the sedimentary basins of southwest Oregon.
By combining fieldwork, stratigraphic analysis, and detrital geochronology, I aim to clarify the processes that record this tectonic transition, including the reorganization of basins, drainage systems, and sediment sources associated with the birth of the modern Cascadia subduction margin.
My work integrates tectonics, sedimentology, and isotope geochemistry to reconstruct the evolution of this margin and its role in the geologic history of the Pacific Northwest.
